HRINZ Advertising Opportunities

Overview

The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ) represents the interests of over 3600 individual members who work in private and public sector organisations throughout New Zealand. This represents approximately 48% of country's HR industry. We provide members with education and information services, conferences and expos, seminars, publications, representation at government and official levels, and networking opportunities. We also help members to develop their professional skills and knowledge as human resources practitioners and key decision makers in their organisations.

We survey our members frequently, and we know more about them than ever before. We know we're on the right track in meeting their needs.

As a large part of the services we provide to our members relates to the supplying of information, we have identified that there is a range of opportunities for appropriate organisations who wish to reach our members with their message to leverage through some of the activities that the Institute undertakes. Sponsorship

The Human Resources Institute has a range of individual activities which provides sponsorship opportunities to suitable organisations who wish to reach our members - a very influential group of decision makers. In most cases sponsors are offered exclusivity, with only one sponsor from each industry sector being involved with a particular project. We avoid conflicting or competing sponsors and generally offer first right of refusal to our existing sponsors who have demonstrated loyalty and support for a number of years. We do however create new projects from time to time which provide opportunities to a fresh group of sponsors.

Conference

Each year in September HRINZ holds a national conference in Wellington for its members and those interested in the development of human resources. We developed a conference 'winning formula' in early 2000 andsince then they've been very well supportedand the quality of the conferences has been very high, with around 90% of the attendees surveyed rating them as very good or excellent. Our conference is considered to be the premier event for human resources professional development and the typical delegate mix is mainly mid and senior level practitioners from the private and public sectors of New Zealand's larger employers. Around 300 people attend from throughout New Zealand.

The conference lasts for three days, with the first day being a fringe day of hands-on learning workshops. The following two days are"thinking days" andcomprise of keynote addresses, concurrent workshops and forum-style sessions. Speakers are made up of international and local thought-leaders and practitioners, CEOs, experts and academics. There are opportunities for sponsors to provide speakers if appropriate.

There is a range of social events offered, including an exclusive HR Business Leaders activity, a welcome reception, networking drinks and a gala dinner.

For more information on conference sponsorship contact beverley.main@hrinz.org.nz or go to the conference website.

HR Expo

Alongside the national conference each year HRINZ holds an HR Expo. This is the only exhibition of its kind in New Zealand and it specialises in showcasing innovative products and services that enhance the contribution that human resources makes to an organisation's success.

The duration of the expo is two days and these coincide with the two 'non-fringe' conference days.Over 40 sites are available for exhibitors and an interactive programme is offered to conference delegates and members of the greater Wellington business community to ensure that the expo is well attended by decision makers. Lunches and coffee breaks are held in the expo halls.

Opportunities for sponsorship include sponsoring a cybercafe, a networking function and an HR "fun activity", as well as more traditional sponsorship options.

Awards

The Awards were first established in 1999 and over the years have grown to incorporate new categories to best reflect the ongoing changes with in the HR Industry. Held annually with applications opening 1 August, regional winners announced in November at local branch events, and the National HRINZ HR Awards in February. The HRINZ HR Awards consist of four categories: HRINZ HR Initiative of the Year and HRINZ HR Person of the Year, including: HRINZ Generalist HR Person of the Year, HRINZ Specialist HR Person of the Year, and HRINZ Young HR Practitioner of the Year.

Website

In recent years HRINZ has focussed on developing its website into a superior 'one-stop-shop' for human resources information. There are a limited number of opportunities available for sponsorship and advertising to be placed on some parts of the site. Exclusivity is offered to advertisers/sponsors on each of the parts available.

The HRINZ website receives a disproportionately high number of hits to its site for thesize of the organisation and the size of the potential market.A recent Google search on “human resources” listed HRINZ at number one out of 607 million pages. With over 40,000 individual visitors each month our website is the first port of call for most HR practitioners in New Zealand. HRINZ is justifiably proud of this achievement.

HR Knowledge Base

This is one of the most visited parts of the HRINZ website. In return for sponsorship on the HR Knowledge Base, the sponsor receives their logo on the front page of the HR Knowledge Base, a rotating banner on subsequent screens and their logo added under appropriate parts of the knowledge base. All logos and banners are linked to thesponsor's own website. Click here to check out the HR Knowledge Base first hand. Contact beverley.main@hrinz.org.nz for more information on HR Knowledge Base sponsorship.

There is only one opportunity for sponsorship ofHRKnowledge Baseand this is currently available. There are similar opportunities available for HR Talent, a talent bank of HR practitioners seeking employment or consultancy. Please contact beverley.main@hrinz.org.nz for more information.

HR Jobs

The HR Job Board allows organisations wishing to advertise job vacancies a free advertising service. Job-seeking visitors can select the jobs that they are interested in and make direct contact with the advertiser to apply for or obtain additional information about the vacant position. Along with HR Knowledge Base, HR Jobs is one of the most visited parts of the HRINZ website and is highly regarded by advertisers and candidates alike.

There is only one opportunity for sponsorship of HR Jobs and this is currently taken. However there are similar opportunities available for HR Talent, a talent bank of HR practitioners seeking employment or consultancy. Please contact beverley.main@hrinz.org.nz for more information.

Members Directory (password protected - members only)

In the closed part of the Institute's site a Membership Directory is housed for the benefit of members wishing to network with each other. This part of the site is available only to members but is widely used by members wishing to stay in touch with each other. Currently there are sponsorship opportunities available here. For more information contact beverley.main@hrinz.org.nz.

HR Resource

The HR Resource is an electronic directory of products and services available for those working in people management. The HR Resource's main purpose is to provide people managers and HR professionals with a 'market place' in which to shop for their workplace requirements. For more information or to place a listing please contact HRresource@hrinz.org.nz

Speaking Opportunities and Meetings

As a membership association meeting the professional development needs of our members, we are always interested to hear from thought-leaders and those with expertise in business and human resource management to provide inspiration and information to our members at both national and branch events. We seek respected speakers with good presentation skills, a worthwhile message and business credibility to contribute their knowledge and experience on topics of interest to a broad cross-section of human resource practitioners and others interested in HR.

We do not provide a platform for organisations wishing to deliver advertorials or infomercials, nor do we usually pay for the speakers' time. We do however reimburse the speakers' reasonable expenses. Most presenters are keen to contribute as a way of giving back to the community and thereby ensuring that high quality, professional practices are maintained.

Opportunities exist for speakers as mentioned above and there are some opportunities for certain events to be sponsored, especially at branch level.
