PPN – What is it? Who is it?
What is PPN?
PPN is a group of representatives representing 6 membership organisations in the Wellington region. Below are the organisations plus their representative:
- The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand
- The Institute of Internal Auditors
- The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants - Linda Cohen
- The New Zealand Institute of Management
- The Wellington District Law Society – Mary Ollivier
- The Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce – Andrew Carpenter
When was it formed?
The Professional Partnership Network (PPN) was established in 1998 as a result of an ad hoc “what if…” discussion.
Why was it formed?
PPN was formed because it was felt that there had to be some advantages for membership organisations to work together.
Whether the advantages were financial, networking, educational or simply social
Who organises it?
The representatives from each member organisation organise PPN. Each year a Chair is appointed and it is the Chair responsibility to steer the group through that year.
How many members does PPN have?
Across the 6 organisations PPN has about 12,000 members. However, some members are members of more than one organisation.
Does PPN exist anywhere else in New Zealand?
Yes, PPN in a slightly less formal way, has been established in Auckland.
