HR Foundations
Led by either Karen Boyte, Kris Cooper or Tina Nation
Presented by The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand
The Workshop
The effective management of people and their performance has never been more important for the success of an organisation.
More and more we recognise that people are an organisation's most powerful asset - very often they are the source of an organisation's operating strength and competitive advantage.
HR Foundations is a three-day workshop that familiarises participants with human resource management practices in a wide range of human resource functions. Attendees will be familiarised with the theory and techniques of up-to-date HR fundamentals.
On completion of HR Foundations participants will:
- Develop insights into the strategic role of HRM in their organisations;
- Become familiarised with best-practice HR techniques;
- Relate HRM practices to legislative requirements, and assess their own organisations compliance with these;
- Explore how they can better evaluate their own HRM practices, to show evidence of adding value to the organisation.
Who should participate?
HR Foundations is designed for:
- People new to a human resources role;
- Those already working in HR who want to refresh their functional knowledge;
- Line managers with devolved responsibilities for HR.
