are permitted up to and including the day of the conference. Please
inform the Conference Manager of any such substitutions.
Dress Code:
Smart casual or business attire is standard dress at HRINZ conferences
for the conference sessions. Dress comfortably. The venues are all
air conditioned so you might want to include a jacket or sweater.
The Welcome Reception and Cocktails will be a bit 'swept-up', so
business attire is probably most suitable.
The Gala Dinner and Theme Party will be semi-formal and we recommend
'After Five' attire, or full fancy dress ('Space' is the theme).
We'll provide masks and antennae to the more inhibited. After dinner
all dress codes will go out the door as ties get loosened, shoes
are kicked off and the dancing begins……
Climate:
Wellington will be in 'early Spring' which could mean lovely fine
days (14 to 18 degrees) and cool evenings (9 to 13 degrees), or
it could be pouring with rain and blowing a gale with an unbelievable
wind chill factor. It will be very hard to predict exactly what
the weather will be like, so we recommend that you bring a good
top coat to meet your needs. Some events are within a very short
stroll of most hotels and the Convention Centre, so you probably
won't need to use taxis, unless the weather is really bad.
