Health and Safety: Is it about Protecting Staff or Avoiding Fines? The session will explore the importance of health and safety to your organisation. Is the basis of your approach focused around protecting your staff or is it simply concerned with compliance (avoiding fines.)
The session will also explore the way in which you quantify return on investment (ROI) for health and safety. Using her 15 years of experience in the health and safety industry Melissa Clark–Reynolds will talk about the link between New Zealand health and safety legislation and an organisation's social values. The session will include representatives of client companies presenting a series of case studies. The focus will be on the way in which these organisations have introduced large management system based health and safety solutions using a transactional approach, based on business need. They will reflect on the needs analysis that underpinned the process and provide their assessment of the ROI that has resulted from the implementation.
