Day Two – Thursday 15 September2.15pm to 3.45pmHot Spot – Remuneration
In response to continual requests from members regarding remuneration information for HR practitioners, in early 2004 HRINZ formed a partnership with Momentum and Strategic Pay to undertake an annual remuneration survey of HRINZ members. Late in 2004 the survey questions were sent out and in early 2005 the findings were available. These were passed on to HRINZ members and added to the HRINZ website. The initial response to the findings was one of disbelief – the average remuneration package seemed surprisingly low for most roles. As a good cross-section of HRINZ members participated in the survey, we can only assume the results must be typical for those working in HR. This session will discuss the findings of the survey and look into the reasons
why HR is still so under-valued, and more importantly, what can be done about
it.
