Description of Organisation
Auckland Transport is a new Council Controlled Organisation created on 1 November 2010 as a result of the amalgamation of a number of local authorities across the Auckland region. Our role is to deliver effective and innovative transport solutions in the areas of roading, public transport, parking, enforcement and active transport. Currently we employ 1,000 people located at a number of centres across the region.
Description of Position
• Fixed-term to December 2013 We have a rare opportunity within Auckland Transport for a fixed-term HR Project Support Person to come on board to support our Corporate Manager Special Projects team with effective operational and strategic HR services and project administration. You will be working in a team that is responsible for large, complex and exciting projects and we require someone who is a bit of a 'jack of all trades' who is customer-focused, flexible and dedicated to the improvement of the services you will be providing.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this is a permanent, full-time role located at Henderson. You will be given accountability for a specific portfolio within the business and will also need to travel to the different localities to engage with your customers. You will have the support of a well skilled and experienced team which values excellence to help you develop and grow. You'll have experience with developing people management strategies and solutions to support business objectives, with a good knowledge of HR best practice and New Zealand employment legislation. If you want a role that will challenge you on a daily basis where you will be able to utilise your broad range of skills, this may be just the role you have been waiting for. Requirements: • Minimum of three years experience in HR or HR/Executive PA role • Analytical and report writing skills • Project management experience
