Description of Position
The Central Region HR team is driven and committed in delivering key initiatives to improve performance, raise capability and engage with all areas of the organisation across multiple business units and service streams - most notably Prison Services, Community Probation Services and Rehabilitation & Reintegration Services. From Hamilton to Hauraki, Te Kauwhata to Taupo, we support our stakeholders through the provision of quality HR services. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager you will draw on your previous experience to coach, guide and advise your customers on a broad range of issues including employment relations, HR policy and procedure and performance development. With your regional colleagues, you will also play a pivotal role in the development of high quality human resource strategies and ongoing development and delivery of services that contribute to the successful achievement of the Department’s overall objectives. As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate: * A proven ability to proactively develop, foster and maintain excellent working partnerships with stakeholders and management at all levels * High level experience delivering operational human resource services effectively and efficiently in a challenging environment * Experience in enhancing policy and strategies, and the delivery of quality human resource services tools and resources – including Lominger Please be advised that this position does include regular travel within the portfolio groups to which you will be assigned. No two days will be quite the same.
