CareNZ is a nationwide organisation that delivers programmes that assist New Zealanders with addiction problems. They lead the way in addiction treatment within the community as well as within the Drug Treatment Units (DTUs) in New Zealand prisons.
Description of Position
Reporting to the General Manager Finance and Corporate, the Manager, Human Resources is responsible for providing pragmatic, effective and compliant advice and support across the full range of HR functions to the Chief Executive, Executive Team, managers and staff. This advice will be at both an operational and strategic level for the organisation.
The Manager, Human Resources will initially undertake a review of the current state of CareNZ’s HR strategies, work plan, systems and processes in order to establish best practice and a common understanding of the HR function within the organisation.
•Strong generalist HR exposure with the confidence and ability to deliver advice at all levels of the organisation
•Experienced in developing and implementing HR strategy and effective management and organisational development practices
•Proficient in advising and coaching managers on the full range of HR and employment relations issues
•Well developed knowledge of HR legislation, systems and best practice
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong networking and relationship management capabilities at all levels
•Previous experience working in the Not for Profit and / or Health sector would be advantageous
•A relevant tertiary level qualification
