Nelson Marlborough District Health Board has approximately 2,500 employees across the Nelson Marlborough region. Our Health Safety & Wellbeing Team provides advice and support to our staff and managers throughout the organisation district wide.
Description of Position
We have a vacancy for a person with a Health and Safety qualification and experience in a health environment, to contribute to the development, delivery, promotion and evaluation of a contemporary, legally compliant health, safety and wellbeing programme for Nelson Marlborough District Health Board in conjunction with the wider Organisational Development Teams and in consultation with the organisation. We are currently seeking an individual who is engaged and motivated with a commitment to Health, Safety and wellbeing to join our friendly team. Ideal skills and experience include, but not limited to: Health Promotion / Wellbeing Strategy Developmentwould be a distinct advantage Experience and understanding of the Health care environment is desirable Experience in auditing for Health Safety and Wellbeing The ability to successfully implement change Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams in a complex organisation Understanding of bicultural issues Excellent organisation and communication skills Adaptable to change and a flexible “can do” attitude This role would be best suited to an individual who is able to lead by example, demonstrate initiative, creativity and thrives in a busy environment, with the challenge of continuous improvement. This is a permanent part time position working 64 hours a fortnight (0.8 FTE) Closing Date: Friday, 3 August 2012 at 1pm. Ref: N12/219.
