This is a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and strategic Talent Development professional.
The client organisation has expanded from 1,000 employees to the current 4,000 in the past 5 years and carefully planned growth will see this expand to 8,000 by 2015.
Their challenge lies in development of national staff, identifying and developing tomorrow's leaders and assisting subsidiary companies achieve similar goals.
Description of Position
The company is currently highly dependent on expatriate management and staffing and a key objective will be the introduction to the workforce of national staff, at all levels.
The appointee will work closely with VPs and CEOs of subsidiaries to ensure they have sophisticated assessment and evaluation tools and practices, and multi tier training programmes in place to meet these objectives.
An aspect of the role will be senior advisory, requiring strong presentation and influencing skills. and a strategic understanding of human resource development and management.
Key Areas of Responsibility
We expect the appointee to come from a diversified organisation, preferably with primary resource industry exposure such as oil and gas, mining and minerals processing, manufacturing or engineering.
A minimum 15 years experience with 5+ years at a senior level, supported by a degree qualification and experience with a wide range of contemporary assessment tools and techniques is essential.
