Beef + Lamb New Zealand invests farmer levies to deliver innovative tools and services to support informed decision making, and continuous improvement in market access, product positioning and farming systems. This role is based in our Wellington Head Office.
Description of Position
This is a four month contract to assist the People and Capability Advisor with the day-to-day challenges that face an HR Generalist in a medium sized organisation.
I am looking for a versatile, adaptable and responsive HR Coordinator who is happy to take on either full responsibility of recruitment and/or payroll as well as assisting with the HR teams administration requirments.
Someone with a service oriented attitude and the ability to quickly build positive relationships with all people within the organisation is essential.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Key competencies for the role are:
Administration of HR activities
Assist/manage all recruitment activities
Assist/manage payroll procedures and employee payroll queries
Assist with the delivery of the company Wellness and H&S programmes
ATTITUDE - can do attitude, responds positively to challenges, optimistic, sense of humour.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships in the organisation.
Integrity and honesty, widely trusted, seen as a direct and truthful individual, keeps confidences and uses discretion appropriately
Proven administration ability.
Prior experience in Human Resources with a particular strength in either payroll or recruitment.
Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as a member of a small and committed team
Prior HR experience is essential and a preference for a HR based qualification.
Remuneration and Benefits
20 hours per week (flexible with days/hours).
Good hourly rate.
