As the result of a recent restructure, the Bay of Plenty Regional Council is seeking applications from senior HR professionals to take up the role of Director, People and Performance.
Description of Position
The People and Performance Group is responsible for the development of people and of optimising operating methods, as well as leading process innovations through streamlined business solutions. The People and Performance Group champions the ‘Head and ‘Heart’ of the organisation and contributes significantly to organisational effectiveness. The Director, People and Performance oversees the internal and the external services to other Territorial Authorities within the Region, ensures high quality HR advisory services, ensures best practice people management is modelled and delivered, and manages the internal business solutions team whose initiatives drive efficiencies and effectiveness across the organisation. A key deliverable for this role is to develop a culture of high performance, innovation and create an environment in which employees can perform to their potential. The Director, People and Performance reports to the Chief Executive and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. The successful applicant will, as a minimum, hold a Bachelor Degree relevant to people management, have a minimum of 10 years of senior HR management experience in a multi-faceted organisation, and have a proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements.
