Description of Position
The Quality Improvement team supports continuous quality improvement.The team focuses on service improvement and developing skills to meet the challenges we face in delivering a system of care that is consumer focused. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Quality Improvement Facilitator - Capability, who has customer satisfaction high on their list of priorities. You will support the development of a consumer-centred culture of continuous quality improvement and safety across Nelson Marlborough District Health Board (NMDHB) particularly through delivering training and building quality improvement capability, including the use of LEAN tools and techniques. We need someone who is engaged, motivated and dedicated to quality improvement. You will be capable of building and maintaining good relationships with Service Managers, team members and other staff. It is essential that you have: Quality Improvement knowledge, including LEAN Experience of developing and delivering quality improvement capability training Presentation and facilitation skills The ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels Plenty of enthusiasm with a proactive attitude and a focus on outcomes Current driver’s licence. Experience of the healthcare system would be an advantage. This permanent full-time position working 80 hours a fortnight (1.0 FTE) is based in Nelson, with the expectation that some work is to be carried out at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim.
