Description of Position

About the role:
We are seeking someone with at least 4 years’ experience in a training role, ideally coupled with front line experience in the retail industry and a relevant qualification. Based in our North Shore Support Office you will report to the Head of Human Resources and lead a team to two trainers. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of training, coaching and support to employees within our store network and support functions, with a primary focus on our store management staff. You will need to utilise effective learning methodologies (including e-learning) to ensure our new and existing employees are able to perform at the standard required of them and develop their knowledge, skills and abilities to assist the company in achieving its business objectives.

Behavioural Competencies

To be successful you will possess the following attributes;
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable presenting to large groups
•Creative, energetic, and solutions focused with a positive outlook
•A guru at utilising PowerPoint and other creative packages to produce learning materials
•The ability to relate to staff at all levels and have a high level of empathy
•Effective organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage your time
•The ability to write reports, keep records, and work within budgets

Technical Competencies

•You have a history of achievement in the delivery of high quality L&D initiatives
•You have experience working with an LMS to deliver and track learning, Totara or Moodle preferably, and knowledge of Articulate and Captivate in the creation of eLearning
•You are a natural leader with emotional maturity and excellent relationship building and negotiating skills
•You are willing and able to travel nationwide on a regular basis and sometimes for extended periods of time

Educational Qualification

•You will have at least 4 years’ experience in a training role ideally coupled with front line experience in the retail industry and a relevant qualification
