Description of Position
Supporting managers within greater Wellington, Napier, New Plymouth, Gisborne, Wairarapa. Recruiting of waged staff, this role is pivotal to the success of the business by providing on going support to the operational functions.
This position would best suit a mature individual who has previous HR experience within a larger organisation in the services industry (call centre, hospitality, retail, manufacturing) and practical experience of employment relations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Liaising closely with hiring managers the focus of the role is:
• high volume recruitment of waged staff
• all related employment documentation including work eligiblity, pre employment checks,
• co ordinating staff availability and contract hours
• maintain a community network to source prospective employees
• Advising managers on disciplinary procedures & assisting Managers with H & S.
You will fly solo in this role reporting to the Region Manager - Central and interfacing with the HR Manager (based at National Support Office in Auckland). The role requires a resilient personality who has sound practical knowledge of employment law and who can ensure colleagues follow process.
