Description of Organisation
Metlifecare is a leading provider of lifestyle retirement villages in New Zealand. We operate villages nationally and our residents enjoy a range of quality amenities and services including the provision of home-based and residential care services.
Description of Position
The success of our business performance has positioned our company well to undertake new growth opportunities and we are now adding to our small Human Resources team. Based in our support office in Greenlane, this new role will provide a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to learn his/her trade. You’ll be utilising your creative flair to craft advertisements and administer the recruitment and new employee processes. You will also be drawing up employment agreements, liaising with payroll and running reports. This is a busy role but much of the processes are well set up. Once you’ve got the day-to-day tasks learnt, you will be able to get into some projects and ER issues. We are looking for someone with an excellent command of written and spoken English and exceptionally high level of computer competency, with mail merge as a habitual task. You need to have well developed administrative and organisational skills and an eye for detail to assist with the delivery of a smoothly-run and efficient HR function. You also must have a patient, tactful and supportive attitude. As a graduate with the appropriate disciplines, you will have a good interpretation of New Zealand employment legislations and will use this role to “join the dots” in your practice. To kick off your HR career, apply by sending your CV with a covering letter and daytime contact details to kirstenh@metlifecare.co.nz, or contact Kirsten Harford, HR Advisor, to find out more. Applications close 8 July 2012.
