The Department of Corrections is a core part of New Zealand’s Justice sector and manages custodial and community-based sentences imposed by the Courts.

Description of Position

In this end to end recruitment role, you will be responsible for proactively planning, coordinating and streamlining all aspects of the recruitment process in your region across multiple business units and service streams - most notably Prison Services, Community Probation Services and Rehabilitation & Reintegration Services. With a regional focus, you will also participate in national projects, continuous improvement and best practice initiatives.

You will manage a broad range of recruitment activities from running regional campaigns, advertising and developing promotional material to coordinating the selection process, facilitating assessment centres and supporting hiring managers in making informed decisions. You will also draw on your previous experience to coach and advise, identifying opportunities to increase knowledge and develop capability.

Key Areas of Responsibility

We would like to hear from you if you have a proven background in recruitment with;

* experience and familiarity of recruitment best practices
* structured testing and screening processes
* strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
* proficiency in a wide range of software systems and applications
* exceptional communications skills and the ability to foster strong business partnerships across all facets of our organisation.

Travel will be required on a regular basis across the Central Region.
