Professional Members

HRINZ has two categories of membership:

  1. General Members are HR practitioners who are involved or interested in Human Resource Management and development.

  2. Professional Members are HR practitioners who sought and gained HRINZ's formal recognition of their skills, knowledge, expertise and experience in Human Resource Management and development.

The first level of Professional Membership is recognised with the suffix MHRINZ. 

The second level of Professional Membership occurs when the member is subsequently recognised by HRINZ as an Associate Fellow with the suffix AFHRINZ.

A Fellow of the Institute (FHRINZ) recognises outstanding contribution to Human Resource Management and to HRINZ.


Life Fellow (LFHRINZ)

A Life Fellow is recognised for outstanding contribution or services to HRINZ and to the growth or practice of Human Resource Management, performance, development and leadership of people at work it wishes to recognise.

Accredited Member (MHRINZ)

An Accredited Member is the first level of Professional Membership and is recognised with the suffix MHRINZ. There are currently around 260 Accredited Members of HRINZ.
