Worklife Balance
Work-life balance is about effectively managing the juggling act between paid work and other activities that are important to us, including: spending time with family, taking part in sport and recreation, volunteering or undertaking further study. Raising employer's awareness that they need to become more family-friendly and offer worklife balances initatives to their employees wherever, they can to assist with the challenge of achieving work-life balance.
With the new introductions of the Employment Relations (Flexible Working Arrangements) Amendment Act 2007 (“the Act”) and the Employment Relations (Breaks and Infant Feeding) Amendment Bill. Both are designed to assist employees in their quest to achieve work-life balance.
