SPECIAL SESSIONS

Conference Orientation

Wednesday 9am to 10am
Mary Alice Arthur

The conference officially opens on Thursday 16 September, but increasingly the Wednesday Fringe Day has become an incredibly well supported and important part of the conference. We’ve decided to help delegates attending the Fringe Day to learn the ropes and settle in quickly by having a conference orientation and warm-up session. This session will introduce you to the conference and to each other; it will set the scene and help you to break the ice.

Branch Time

Wednesday 9am to 10am

A chance for branch committee members to get together and share their experiences on the value they add for HRINZ members regionally.

Professional Membership Workshop

Wednesday 10.15am to 11am

For those wanting to take their career further by becoming a certificated (professional) member of HRINZ.

Hot Spots

Wednesday 10.15am to 11am (concurrent with the Professional Members Workshop)

Thursday 2.15pm to 3.45pm (concurrent with the Masterclasses)

Two sessions addressing specific topics that affects our current and future standard of living. More info can be found here.

Members Forum

A chance for all HRINZ members to learn about the latest developments as the profession strives for greater levels of competence.

Master Classes

Thursday 2.15pm to 3.45pm

This year we’re offering three Master Classes and you’ll be pleased to note that there are no entry restrictions on any of them. More info can be found here.

Breakfast – The Value of Failure

8am to 8.50am Friday

The Value of Failure - a keynote with a difference over a full cooked and continental brekky. A great way to start Day Three of this conference.

Panel Discussion

12.30pm to 1.30pm Friday

A panel of international stakeholders will offer a different perspective of HR adding value in their communities.

Join us for one of the best (or worst) yet. Themed ‘bad taste’ where almost anything goes, use this opportunity and dress to kill or wear those really bad clothes you couldn’t bear to throw out from the 70s and 80s, or be your own ‘alter ego’, NZ Idle, etc. Pre-dinner drinks followed by a great dinner, dancing and lots of laughs.
