There are 15 HRNZ branches nationwide run by locally elected volunteer leaders, which provide opportunities for members to meet and share experiences with other practitioners. Chartered Membership Accreditation

HRNZ encourages members to apply for Chartered Membership. Members can gain formal recognition of their skills, knowledge and experience in Human Resource Management and development. Chartered status is open to all who work in and are interested in the Human Resources profession as a current financial member of HRNZ. The first level of Chartered Membership is recognised with the post-nominal CMHRINZ. The second and third levels are Chartered Fellow (CFHRINZ) and Distinguished Fellow (DistFHRINZ).

Once achieved, Chartered Membership denotes that academics and HR practitioners have satisfied HRNZ that they have the particular qualifications, knowledge and experience, as well as possessing an ongoing commitment to HR professionalism and excellence in a tertiary or workplace environment.
