What exactly is Emotional Intelligence and how do I build it in my team?

Date Time Presented by Registration
7 June 12.00pm - 1.00pm Mel Rowsell, Wisdom at Work Registrations closed

When will we stop pretending “soft” skills have less impact in business?

You see, the “hard” results - profitability, customer retention, cost of sales - are all impacted by these so-called “soft” skills. And of them, one is king of the castle - Emotional Intelligence.

For example, a 2003 UK study found that when business units were led by managers with high EQ, profit growth was 7 percentage points higher than average over the same period.

Mel Rowsell, founder of Wisdom at Work, has found that for many, whilst the term Emotional Intelligence is well known, what it is made up is far more mysterious.

It is her intention to remove the mystery. To lay bare the building blocks of Emotional Intelligence so people like you and your leaders can start building and strengthening your Emotional Intelligence, block by block. And benefit from all those "hard" results mentioned above.

This webinar will include the key elements of Emotional Intelligence; and how to build these into a leadership programme.

What would participants gain from attending the Webinar?

Learn practical strategies to increase the Emotional Intelligence of the leaders in your business. You will learn how to build a leadership programme designed to increase Emotional Intelligence.

Presented by Mel Rowsell, Wisdom at Work

Mel Rowsell likes to think herself as a master practitioner in the dark arts of humanity. With her 20+ experience in Human Resources; coupled with experience in brain based coaching, and a Diploma in Secondary Education, she has spent her entire adult life learning as she says "how to people".

Mel played a founding role at Vend, a web based point of sale solution, which quickly grew from the founding team to 200 team members globally. Her role heading up the People function; and latterly focusing on culture and leadership
gave her an opportunity to prove what a common sense approach to people and culture can do.

These days Mel is principal consultant at Wisdom at Work.
