HRINZ Conference Gifting Programme 2011

Many not-for-profit organisations can really benefit by having their HR staff attend HRINZ professional development events but often this is not possible because of a lack of funding available. The HRINZ Conference Gifting Programme is now in its’ 5th year and we are pleased to be able to offer gifted registrations again for the 2011 HRINZ National Conference to not-for-profit organisations, thanks to our donors who will be acknowledged when the matching process has taken place.

Management of gifting process

  • HRINZ will collate all donor and recipient applications.
  • In the case of high recipient demand, HRINZ will ballot the gifted registration/s.
  • HRINZ will manage the donor/recipient matching.
  • There is no guarantee HRINZ will match all gifted registrations.

Application process

  • Recipients and donors must complete the appropriate application form.
  • If you would like further information about gifting a place please see contact details below.
  • Applications are open until Friday 1 July.
  • HRINZ will complete the matching process during the first week of July.
  • Donor/recipient matches will be notified in writing.

Recipient Criteria

  • The recipient must be working for an approved not-for-profit organisation in New Zealand.
  • At least 75% of their work must be HR related.
  • The recipient must be a member of HRINZ.
  • A recipient can only ever receive one gifted registration; however, other staff members from the same organisation may be gifted a registration.
  • Recipients must apply to HRINZ using the official application form (DOC).
  • The recipient agrees for their name and the name of the organisation they work for to be published in relation to the conference gifting programme. They also agree for their name and the name of the organisation they work for to be available for use in this context by the Donor.
  • The recipient agrees for their photograph to be used in relation to the conference gifting programme. They also agree for any photos to be available for use in this context by the Donor.

Indicative cost of conference registration gift

  • Cost to Donor - gifted registrations are charged at the lowest rate available, i.e. early bird member rate. The rate for the 2011 conference is $1,295+ GST ($1489.25).
  • Cost to Recipient - the registration fee does not include travel and accommodation costs and the recipients need to source these themselves.

If you would like to donate a place or apply for one of the gifted places, please contact michelle.tattersall@hrinz.org.nz or phone Michelle Tattersall on (04 381 8959).
