Most people are impacted by the need to make a transition at some stage in their working lives - to a new role, to a new organisation or to retirement are just some examples.  Traditional support often involves training such as how to cope with change and information about the process and what to expect. Often this training is "just in time" to meet the current need. Some provide outplacement support for those impacted by redundancy

This session focuses on a different type of support - it focuses on being proactive and helping people to prepare in advance for any transition they may face in the future.  Using Martin Seligman's (recently updated) PERMA +4 model as a base, this approach gives people the time and space to reflect (prior to any transition) on the factors that are important for long-term wellbeing. The more work they have done to implement this knowledge, the more prepared they are when faced with any change in their lives. They are more open, flexible, resilient and optimistic about the future.

In this session you will learn how this model has been successfully applied in different scenarios in organisations - including those impacted by redundancy, rebuilding teams after change and for those facing retirement.
