HR Foundations is a three day programme designed for HR Practitioners who may be early on in their careers after studying and acquiring qualifications, or for those who are currently in HR roles and who want to extend their knowledge of leading edge HR practice.
The programme supports your development in line with HRNZ’s capability framework – The Path. The focus is on individuals operating at a Delivers or Advises level and wanting to take the next step in their career. The programme is highly interactive and incorporates presentations, group discussions and case studies focusing on the following Domains of Knowledge;

  • Attraction, recruitment and selection
  • Employment relations (including performance management)
  • Change management

Aspects of other domains of knowledge (Employee engagement and experience; Health, safety and wellbeing; Workplace planning; Analytics and data science) are also referenced.

Throughout the programme there will also be a focus on the application of core capabilities in your HR practice.
A workbook containing information and exercises is provided. The programme is informed by current research and is frequently revised and updated.
