This Webinar is a workshop and panel discussion that will help students create their own personal brand and become graduate ready!

This webinar will allow students to improve their CV/Cover Letter and LinkedIn Profiles. It will also provide students an insight into what a job in HR looks like starting out and how to put your best foot forward when applying to jobs. It can be recognised that this is a popular topic for HR students looking to take their next steps following tertiary education!
There will also be time for questions and answers.

Presenter Details
Thao Vo EPMHRNZ
Thao joined HRNZ team in May 2022 as the HR Resources and Events Coordinator. She has worked in hospitality management roles for a couple years before HRNZ, hence has solid understanding on recruitment process. From 5-9, Thao supports a small student networking group where she runs workshop on CVs and Cover Letter. Thao enjoy every opportunity to support students, especially HR students whenever she can, and also really enjoy sitting at a café on the weekends.
Sophie Dempster
Sophie embarked upon her HR career in 2017 and has navigated the intricate landscape of both the private, and public sector in HR generalist and recruitment roles. Following the completion of her HR degree at Otago University, she moved to Christchurch to take up a role with Fletcher Building. While working in HR in the challenging industry of construction, she gained skills in the areas of union relations, investigations and disciplinary processes. Sophie made the move to law firm Anderson Lloyd in 2021. Sophie now provides HR support across Anderson Lloyds Auckland and Christchurch offices, whilst taking a lead role in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the firm. Alongside her work commitments, Sophie is a passionate mentor for Otago HR students.
Emily Atkinson EPMHRNZ
Emily joined HRNZ as a student member whilst studying HR at University and has continued as a general member since. Emily has a strong background in recruitment, and more recently the payroll function and organisational development/wellness. Emily has a passion for the application of wellness initiatives and frameworks, particularly in blue-collared industries. Emily’s current role is a generalist role which sees her undertaking end-to-end recruitment, leading the wellness space and providing cover to the payroll function.
