You have probably heard of 'Accounting for non Accountants' - well, this is HR for non HR people. While this event is primarily designed for line managers or those for whom HR is only one significant part of their role, group managers who have an overall although indirect responsibility for the HR function would also benefit from this programme. The focus is on the fundamental underlying principles relating to HR and good practice approaches.
HR 101: HR for non HR People is a jargon free introduction for those who have people responsibilities that focuses on the principles underpinning good people practice which they can apply to everyday people management situations in their teams and organisations.
Topics covered in this one day programme include:

  • Resourcing (recruitment and selection)
  • Learning and Development (training)
  • Performance Management (appraisal)
  • Legal Compliance and Employment Relations (staying on the right side of NZ Employment Law)

A workbook containing information and exercises will be posted to you. The programme is informed by leading edge research and is constantly being revised and updated.

“Fantastic course that exceeded my expectations. I was particularly impressed with zoom as a teaching tool and the different learning methods used which kept the course engaging over a long period of time.
